17th March 2016 marked the 113th anniversary of the Galway St. Patrick's Day Parade. We captured the amazing spectacle of all things Irish from Garavan's Bar, 46 William Street Galway.
The Parade started at 11.30am showcasing an array of local artists and community groups. It was fantastic to see the people celebrate the cities diverse culture and talent through an inclusive programme of events.
The atmosphere was electric as the whole city came together to celebrate St Patrick's Day Parade. The highlights include Galway Arts Centre, Colours Street Theatre, An Taibhdhearc Theatre and Galway Theatre Festival with community groups such as Foróige and GAA Clubs.
The grand finale was by local heroes Macnas presenting their youth ensemble before Gamelan na Gaillimhe chime the end of the parade with their Indonesian gongs.
